The aim of this first debate within the Innovation Forum is to promote reflection on the relationship between innovation and research training.

It is important to innovate in the UOC methodologies and resources for virtual training, but it is also important that the innovations are sustainable and robust. The tandem research and innovation is key to achieving this goal.

The issue that we raised in this first forum is the relationship between innovation and research from the use of a research methodology based on the design of dynamic experiments. The methodology is called “design research” or “experimental design” and has been translated by some as a “design training“.

The aim of the forum is to examine innovative design training as a possible method of working to establish stronger ties between the research and training in a virtual learning and innovation.

We analyze the characteristics of the methodology, see some examples and establish an open debate on the relationship between innovation and research on the training and learning in our university.
