The 10th Forum of Innovation is the theme of the Augmented Reality (AR) and sets a goal to not only know the technology, but to be able to understand the new possibilities offered to convey information, view processes or express ideas and concepts. To shed light on this, on this occasion we have two experts in the field of the company T-Systems Iberia:
- Jordi Muria Portillo (manager of the Virtual Reality Center)
- Castan Javier Sanchez (developer of the area of Augmented Reality)

In recent years, Virtual Reality is no longer seen as a “science of the future” to be incorporated into everyday life. Applications of Virtual and Augmented Reality provide new ways to communicate information and express ideas visualize processes, so that today there are several areas that benefit from this advanced technology.
Both technologies have applications in industry sectors such as: assembly simulation, virtual prototyping or operator training. In medicine, is used for surgical planning with the creation of virtual operating rooms. Architectural and Real Estate, serves to make virtual tours for architectural design, urban planning or interior. In the areas of culture and entertainment, enabling the reconstruction of cultural or archaeological heritage and creates immersive gaming interaction for a group of users. In the area of Finance and Marketing, is assistant class in the analysis of market behavior, virtual or sale of information and capital flows. In the field of research, its usefulness lies in the study of molecular models, magnetic fields, weather or planetary exploration. In training, assistance to improve the technique and represents an essential tool, whether for training medical professionals, and through driving simulators or even in academia by creating virtual campuses.
Using Augmented Reality helps reduce implementation costs and time, increases quality and productivity, improved training of professionals, reduces risks and increases the chances of business of any company, all provided by applying a high degree innovation.
